BLOOMING
This is a poetry writing as a part of collaborative project of "The Journey of Motherhood”.
Hopeful / optimist, full of good expectations
A tiny soul was blown inside of her.
As she was reaching her outermost skin of hope,
she started to dream about beautiful things,
stimulating them into a new season of a-frame-full-of-flowers spring.
By learning through the growth of her well-being, she too tries to maintain her sanity.
Nurturing / natural, safe, peace, the analogy of a child as fruits
Sweat and blood are shed. Between her existence and death,
laboring is beyond arduous.
But the moment she sees her tiny blood,
she feels elated.
Time elapses,
she doesn’t have to push herself,
an effortless tenderness.
Nurture comes naturally.
She carries her child like a diamond,
she treats her child like her favourite painting,
she treasures her child like no other.
Always bearing the agony.
Nevertheless, she carries on.
Frustration / exhaustion, insecurity, pain
Being a woman with a child is rather exhausting.
Some will honor her,
many will question her.
I hate my body. / I hate myself. / Am I good enough? / I am scared. / Work or and child?
I’m not interesting anymore. / Am I capable? / Who am I? / My back hurts all the time.
It feels like the world gets somber for her.
Is it her lack of sleep or her dull reflection?
She can’t tell.
Patience / patient, calm
She is holding her tears,
even the greatest pain
she shall endure.
Despite the fatigue, she does it patiently.
She does it for the child, for her only blood.
She is resilient.
All because a mother loves her child wholly, unconditionally.
Bliss / joy, happiness
A transition that makes her nothing but lustrous.
She is powerful.
Blessed, as she always wants to be.
Bloom, as she grows her beauty.
Shine, as she always does.
Mother, you are lovely. / Mother, you are exquisite. / Mother, you are kind-hearted.
Mother, you are beautiful. / Mother, you are esteemed. / Mother, you are everything.
Her journey is blissful.
