The Journey of Motherhood is a part of art submission for Utterly Me Magazine Issue J: Journey in 2021 (unpublished).

This project aimed to depict the emotional journey of motherhood through visual art. I interviewed real mothers about their experiences raising children and their personal growth. We focused on capturing the raw, honest emotions mothers undergo as they nurture their children, portrayed through analogies with fruits symbolising the child and flowers symbolising the mother's development.

The result was an editorial photoshoot conveying these themes. Through visually impactful images paired with real motherhood stories, the project hoped to resonate with mothers, validate their experiences, and encourage them to embrace their identity. Ultimately, it explored the nuances of motherhood in an authentic, thought-provoking manner.

A tiny soul was blown inside of her.

As she was reaching her outermost skin of hope,

she started to dream about beautiful things,

stimulating them into a new season of a-frame-full-of-flowers spring.

By learning through the growth of her well-being, she too tries to maintain her sanity.
